Stunt game 'Urban Trial Playground’ announced for Switch TATE MULTIMEDIA

Coming April 5 exclusively on Nintendo Switch is Urban Trial Playground, the upcoming stunt bike racing game from Tate Multimedia.

This new installment of the stunt bike racing series, which Tate says has sold more than 1,000,000 copies combined on other platforms, is moving the action from city streets, straight to the sunny and colourful beaches of California.  The game boasts a vibrant, sun soaked background and chilled out atmosphere setting the scene for some truly radical stunts, get ready to flip, trick and roll over palm trees and golden sands dunes.

“Our work with Nintendo in previous years has been incredibly successful, and we are very excited to continue creating new Urban Trial games as exclusives for their platforms," said Joseph Debecki, Producer at Tate Multimedia.  "With the massive success of Nintendo Switch at launch we saw an opportunity to connect with a new, thriving and passionate community we simply couldn't miss.”

With the new setting comes gameplay changes.  For example, Urban Trial Playground will be the first game in the franchise to feature independent front and rear brake controls.  Players will be able to pull off stoppies and front flips as well as sliding into huge skid burns on the track and racking up longer combos.

Taking advantage of the Nintendo Switch’s build, multiplayer includes racing against friends and family in a couch based competitive modes with 2 players split screen play in Time Trial or Tag modes.

Urban Trial Playground is rated "E for Everyone" by the ESRB.
