Coming out Mar. 21 exclusively for PlayStation 4 is Anima: Gate of Memories Beyond Fantasy Edition, a special physical copy release of the third-person anime-style action/RPG Anima: Gate of Memories.
Published by BadLand Games and developed by Anima Project, Anima focuses on a mix of combat and exploratio. The game's story puts player choices at the forefront, impacting characters’ fates "in unpredictable ways." There are multiple endings that can be unlocked and a huge game world in which players can move with great freedom, visiting different locations and having the option to always retrace your steps to revisit areas, discover new secrets, and unlock access to previously inaccessible places. Anima's combat system combines RPG elements with fast-paced action including physical attacks and magical spells.
New with the Beyond Fantasy Edition (aside from a physical disk for the otherwise digital-only title) is a full-color 52-page hardcover art book, a 25-track original soundtrack with jewel case, a 22-card tarot deck, and a framed art print. The whole kit-and-caboodle comes in a collector's box.
Priced at $49.99, Anima: Gate of Memories Beyond Fantasy Edition can be pre-ordered from the NIS America online store, Amazon, GameStop, and a handful of other North American retailers.
The game is rated "T for Teen" by the ESRB.
