Creative Assembly pushes back the release of Total War: Three Kingdoms until May 23, 2019.
The game developer says it's the right thing to do.
"We're lucky to be in a position to do the right thing for our games, and in this case, it means taking the time to get everything ready for you," said Rob Bartholomew, Studio Brand Director at Creative Assembly. "It's important that we give you a game that you can enjoy to the fullest, and we're excited for you to see what we have in store."
Total War: Three Kingdoms is the first game in the long-running Total War series to recreate epic historic conflicts across ancient China. The game combines a turn-based campaign of empire-building and conquest with stunning real-time battles.
The game is rated "T for Teen" by the ESRB.
